The full-time academy is the cornerstone of the Blue Sky Aviation training.  All aspects of our training system integrate to give you, the customer, the absolute best training experience possible.  The academy meets Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm and other times as scheduled.  The school is closed for Christmas break in the last 2 weeks of December.  Also, all federal holidays are observed.

The classroom, flight training and professional development are carefully integrated.  As students progress through the program, each training system element works together to provide the most effective and comprehensive flight training program available today.  We are not in the business of selling you ratings, we are preparing you for a career as a professional helicopter pilot!

Our full-time academy is unique in that every aspect of the program is designed to prepare our customers for their future role as professional helicopter pilots.  Academy students are held to the same standards of conduct expected of professional pilots throughout the program.  Students are expected to wear the company (school) uniform properly, maintain a neat appearance, come to work (classes) prepared and constantly demonstrate a positive attitude.  We have designed this program to simulate what our students will experience in the industry.  As a result, our graduates will excel in their new careers. 

Learning objectives are integrated with real-world helicopter mission profiles in Scenario Based Training (SBT).  For example, we require our students to simulate cargo drop-off and pick-ups at various times and locations in flight planning for solo flights.  We also offer photo-flight instruction, simulated aerial tours and many other real-life helicopter scenarios that integrate with the training syllabus.

This is the shortest route for the motivated individual looking to start his or her career in the helicopter industry.  We are proud of this program as it is the most professional helicopter training program in the civilian industry!
