One-on-one flight instruction makes sure you get the personal training you need! |

A Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) will be assigned to each new student. The CFI is a highly trained professional that will give you personal instruction necessary to safely and effectively fly the helicopter. We use a structured syllabus so that no time is wasted and every lesson has a specific outcome. Both you and the instructor will work together to build your knowledge and experience in the helicopter. A fundamental precept of our training program is Scenario Based Training (SBT). All training is designed to simulate real-world mission characteristics. For example, all flights are treated as commercial operational missions with the same performance expectations. Cross country flights also have simulated mission objectives, such as pre-determined arrival at destination and other factors common in commercial aviation. Safety is always our primary responsibility, but as students knowledge and experience grow, we make every flight more challenging and in-turn, realistic. All primary flight instruction is done in the Robinson R-22. Blue Sky Aviation chose the R-22 for the simple reason that we feel this helicopter is a safe and reliable training platform. Also, the R-22 will prepare our students for their next role upon graduation as professional flight instructors. I Instrument training is conducted in the Robinson R-44 . Robinson no longer manufacturers an instrument R-22, so instead of using old equipment we feel the R-44 is the perfect fit for this mission. The R-44 is a stable and solid performing instrument platform. If students are going to be flight instructors, we want our graduates to be employable. If you want to get a job in flight instruction, you will need Robinson experience.
