Blue Sky Aviation was formed to provide a unique service previously unavailable in the helicopter flight training industry.  We have designed a flight training academy that is also a career preparation school.  We studied the market and came to realize that while there are no shortage of schools that offer to sell students flight ratings, we could not find a program that offers the full package of skills required to become successful in the industry.

Looking at the substantial investment students are making in this initial training, the most important concern is getting that investment to pay-off.  The only way that investment can pay off is through gainful employment.  We are focused on not only providing world-class flight training, but also emphasize the intangible aspects of becoming a successful professional in the industry.  Business management has long known that people with good  ?people skills?  will always excel over their peers.  We know these skills are not innate, but can be learned through instruction and practice. The flight training we provide will build a foundation of technical knowledge that serves our customers throughout their careers.   We also focus on the non-technical skills in preparing our customers for the mental aspects of the career.

Since most of our customers will initially pursue careers in flight instruction, we provide continuous opportunities to practice instructing throughout the program.  Most importantly, we offer feedback and coaching that will make certain our graduates are the best prepared flight instructors in the industry. 

We know that our graduates will have all the skills necessary to reach their goals.  We are committed to setting the industry standard for comprehensive career preparation for helicopter pilots.

It may be argued that most employers don?t care where you did your primary instruction, they only care about logbook hours.  This statement is partially true.  You must have the requisite number of flight hours for insurance purposes.  However, up until now, employers have had no reason to consider one flight training program better than another.   All training programs have focused only on teaching students to fly helicopters.  We are the only program that can assure employers that you have been trained in both the technical skills and mental attitude necessary to become a valuable member of their company.
